The oppositions circumstances from 1995 through 2050 were computed by Brian D. Warner.

On each line is:
  • Asteroid number
  • For the five brightest apparitions in the period 1995 - 2050

    Opposition magnitude (V)
    Opposition date (mm/dd.d)
    Brightest magnitude (V)
    Brightest date (mm/dd.d)
    Approximate declination at brightest
    Year (YYYY)

Each year's data are separated by the pile symbol ( | )

A sample line is shown below

  #    O.M.   O.D.     B.M.   B.D.   DEC  YEAR    O.M.    O.D.    B.M.   B.D.   DEC  YEAR ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   1   6.7  12 18.2   6.7  12 18.3  +25   2012 |  6.7  12 17.0   6.7  12 17.1  +25  2035 |   ...

If an asterisk appears next to a given year, e.g., 2018*, that means that apparition is particularly favorable. This is defined to be when

Range of brightest to faintest apparition is > 1.0m
Brightest in given year is 0.7m or more brighter than (brightest + faintest) / 2 - the average apparition.

Each line is 225 characters long (not including the CR/LF pair)
